Overview
TySafe was a client project initiated by a non-profit organization with a bold mission: improving safe transportation options for women and minorities during unsafe hours. The app was envisioned as a mobile-first platform, giving users peace of mind by connecting them with trusted, secure transportation alternatives, and co-walking options in their area.
While the project was eventually aborted due to a lack of funding on the NPO’s side, TySafe demonstrated our ability to design and structure complex, socially impactful solutions — even when resources are limited.
Technical Approach
-
Cross-Platform Mobile App
Built with .NET Xamarin (now succeeded by .NET MAUI), targeting both Android and iOS devices.
-
Microservices Architecture
Designed around Project Tye (precursor to .NET Aspire), allowing modular deployment and scale-out of backend components.
-
Cloud Hosting
Planned deployment on Microsoft Azure, drafted and developed in partnership with Azure teams for reliability and reach.
Although only the basics of the codebase were developed, the architecture and roadmap were solid foundations for a scalable, production-ready deployment.
Lessons & Outlook
Even though TySafe never moved beyond the prototype stage, it remains a clear example of our capacity to:
- Tackle sensitive, socially-driven projects.
- Apply modern architectures (microservices, cloud hosting) to mobile ecosystems.
- Build confidence with partners like Microsoft Azure.
With proper backing, TySafe could have become a fully realized platform — a testament to both the strength of the initial concept and our readiness to deliver.
About NSYS
We believe in building not only for markets, but also for impact. TySafe illustrates this ethos : Even when circumstances prevented deployment, our engineering approach, cloud partnerships, and architectural foresight showed that we are prepared to deliver innovative, socially responsible solutions.
We see TySafe as a reminder that the right ideas, coupled with strong technical foundations, can always find their way to reality — when the opportunity arises.
